The colours. The culture. The community.
A bi-annual festival celebrating British Gujarati heritage through music, dance, art, craft, food and the stories we carry forward.
Rangeelu Gujarat started because we wanted to celebrate Gujarati culture properly. On a stage it deserved. With artists who care about what they perform, and a community that shows up because it matters to them.
This is not culture as costume or backdrop. It is the real thing — music, dance, craft, food and heritage rooted in what Gujarati tradition actually is. Handled with respect. Presented with pride.
British Gujaratis, the wider South Asian community, and anyone who wants to understand and celebrate this culture: you do not need to know the songs to join in. That is the whole point.
Long-form performances, highlight films and heritage moments — captured so they stay findable for the next generation. YouTube is the home. This page is how people find them.
Rangeelu Gujarat is the umbrella under which Red Lotus Events carries forward some of its most important heritage work. What we capture, we keep. Songs, stories, voices — documented so they remain findable for the next generation.
This is what passing it forward looks like. Not just a festival poster. A growing collection on YouTube. A library people can return to years from now.
Rangeelu Gujarat is the one event where I feel completely at home. The music, the Garba, the people — it feels like our community finally has a stage that reflects who we really are.
I travelled down from Manchester for it and I would do it again every time. Nothing up here comes close to the standard Rangeelu Gujarat sets. It is the real thing.
My children experienced our Gujarati heritage in a way that school and the mandir alone cannot give them. They came home asking questions I had not heard from them before.
The Garba night was traditional in the way it should be. Not Bollywood. The songs we grew up hearing. I felt it in my chest. That is what culture feels like when it is done with care.
We come as a family every time — three generations of us. My mum loves the heritage performances, my kids love the energy, and I love that we are all in the same place feeling the same thing.
Rangeelu Gujarat does not feel like it is trying to be something. It just is. Rooted, warm, and brilliantly put together. We are proud to support it every year.
Be the first to hear about dates, tickets and artist announcements. This is how you stay connected year-round.
Be part of the Rangeelu Gujarat community. Get updates, connect with others and be part of something that lasts all year round — not just during the festival.
